From October 12th to 16th, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the "2020 Advanced Training Course for Improving the Capacity of Tourism Data and Tourism Statistics Talents" was successfully held in Yantai on October 12, 2020, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism).
Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Academy (Data Center of Ministry of Culture and Tourism), Li Guolin, First-level Inspector of Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Li Bo, Deputy Mayor of Yantai Municipal Government, Xie Xiuhai, Director of Finance Department of Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhang Zuling, Director of Yantai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and other leaders and experts and scholars attended the opening ceremony. President Dai Bin gave an opening speech and a special lecture on "New Situation of Cultural and Tourism Statistics and New Tasks of Data Construction". He proposed that scientific data is not only a reliable basis for government decision-making, but also a solid support for the development of the industry, and also the underlying device and key support for the high-quality development of cultural undertakings and tourism industries. We must continuously strengthen the research on basic theories, policies and regulations of cultural and tourism statistics, increase platform construction and technological innovation, and steadily promote the accuracy, professionalism and effectiveness of cultural and tourism statistics.
The content of this training course involves national economic accounting, statistical law and tourism statistical norms, tourism statistical practice, tourism big data application, statistical expression of tourism technology progress, etc. Famous domestic experts and scholars and industry veterans from the National Bureau of Statistics, China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), Northwest University, Meituan, Beijing Zhishu Space-Time Technology Co., Ltd. were invited to give lectures, and the Yantai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism made a sharing presentation. Nearly 160 statistical business backbones from the Departments of Culture and Tourism of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country participated in the training.
At the closing ceremony, four trainees, including Li Pengliang, researcher from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism Research Office, Zhang Liangbao, deputy director of the Finance Department of Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Ran Li, deputy director of the Finance Department of Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, and Pu Huaimin, deputy director of the Finance Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism, spoke on behalf of their respective groups. They all said that this training covered a wide range of areas and was highly professional, and clarified the ideas of big data and traditional statistics. In future work, we must strengthen the combination of theory and practice and improve the data quality management of tourism statistics. Vice President Tang Xiaoyun hopes that everyone will adhere to scientific concepts, statistical laws, and job responsibilities in tourism statistics work.
