On October 21, the "2020 China Future Scenic Area Conference and Jintan Maoshan Forum on High-Quality Development of Tourism in the Yangtze River Delta" was held at Jintan Maoshan Tourist Resort, co-organized by the China Tourism Academy, the People's Government of Jintan District, Changzhou City, and the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, and hosted by the Jintan Maoshan Tourist Resort Management Committee, People's Culture and Tourism, and Snail Scenic Area Management Group.
At the meeting, Dr. Zhan Dongmei from the Institute of Industry of our institute released the core viewpoints and main data of the "China Tourism Scenic Spot Development Report (2020)" on behalf of the research team. The report is based on the core viewpoint that "scenic spots are the warmth of life and the upward force", and expounds on the future development of scenic spots from the epidemic to revitalization and facing the well-off era. The report first analyzes the development and changes of the tourist scenic spot market at different stages based on the calculation of the data center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Secondly, it discusses the basis and inevitability of the revitalization of scenic spots from the perspective of responsible governments, innovative market entities, people who love tourism life, and a grand and solid market foundation. Third, it points out that in the era of well-off tourism, the revitalization of scenic spots is not to return to the past, but to face the future. In order to promote the high-quality development of scenic spots, it is necessary to consider not only mandatory and recommended national standards, local standards, and industry standards, but also enterprise standards. Night tourism products are a new blue ocean for the development of scenic spots. Ice and snow tourism and summer tourism have entered the high-speed channel to promote the quality development of related scenic spots. The attraction of red scenic spots and cultural scenic spots to tourists is increasing. Ecological and leisure and vacation scenic spots are increasingly attracting tourists' attention. The transformation and quality development of rural tourism have become new opportunities for the development of scenic spots. The report also pointed out that there needs to be an objective understanding of the revitalization of scenic spots: the future has come, but there is a long way to go. In the era of well-off tourism, under the complex external environment, the chronic diseases that plague the development of scenic spots will not disappear overnight. It requires the wisdom, strength and responsibility of scenic spot people to continue to play the role of the core carrier of the tourism industry in the new development pattern and embark on the road of high-quality development of scenic spots.
The report also systematically analyzes the development status and trends of scenic spots since 2020, investment conditions, prosperity index, consumption demand and service quality of scenic spots, and the impact of relevant policies on scenic spots, and puts forward corresponding development suggestions on this basis. The report points out that in the past year, the proportion of scenic spot sightseeing tours has risen for the first time, cultural scenic spots have continued to heat up, and night tourism has grown rapidly.
