On May 29, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, was invited to hold working talks with Cuban Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos Garcia in Shanghai.
Garcia introduced Cuba's tourism resources and the development of the tourism industry in recent years, as well as the data on Chinese citizens' travel to Cuba since the implementation of visa-free entry for Chinese tourists and the resumption of direct flights from Beijing to Havana. He also looked forward to the future of China-Cuba tourism exchanges and hoped to strengthen cooperation with the Institute (Data Center) in the fields of tourism policy research, market data, and talent training.
Dai Bin reviewed the achievements and experiences of tourism exchanges between China and Cuba over the past 10 years and expressed his willingness to strengthen professional cooperation with the Cuban Ministry of Tourism and other relevant institutions in relevant fields.
The two sides also exchanged views and suggestions on relevant issues of tourism exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
During his stay in Shanghai, Dai Bin participated in the "Unique Cuba" tourism promotion campaign in China and held discussions with Cuban Ambassador to China Bai Shide and Consul General in Shanghai Mei Lai Di.
