This is because, on the one hand, tourism statistics objectively present a global statistical challenge; on the other hand, the systems and methods of tourism statistics, as well as their practice and implementation, are still undergoing continuous improvement and refinement. Against the backdrop of tourism increasingly becoming an emerging strategic pillar industry and a vital industry for people's livelihood and well-being, accelerating the construction of a modern tourism statistics system should focus on the overall requirements of modern tourism statistics development. Breakthroughs should be accelerated in areas such as strengthening tourism statistics functions, improving tourism statistics systems, optimizing tourism statistics collection systems, enhancing the quality of tourism statistics, promoting open cooperation in tourism statistics, improving tourism statistics safeguards and supervision, and cultivating a strong tourism statistics workforce.
