"The Development Report of China's Tourist Attractions and Resort Areas (2025 - 2026)" is one of the annual "1 8" landmark research achievements of the China Tourism Academy (the Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism). Since 2012, it has been published for 14 consecutive times. The report focuses on the annual development characteristics and deeply analyzes investment trends and relevant policies, aiming to provide practical suggestions for the high-quality development of tourist attractions and resort areas.

The report indicates that traditional tourist resorts and vacation areas remain popular, while new sectors are growing rapidly. "Culture and technology" is becoming the core driving force for quality improvement and upgrading; traditional high-quality tourist resorts with strong resource monopolies continue to play a stabilizing role; construction and operation are shifting towards more refined spatial design and scenario-based living; emotional value is increasingly becoming a key variable influencing consumption decisions and driving word-of-mouth promotion; county-level tourist resorts and vacation areas have become the main engine driving county-level tourism development. In the future, development will further strengthen demand orientation; experience design will place greater emphasis on immersion and emotional connection; digital technology will have a more profound impact on market operation mechanisms; theme tourism products will become an important means to promote refined operation and tap consumption potential.
