The 2024 China Night Economy Research Results Release Event was held in Futian District, Shenzhen

On November 27, the 2024 China Night Economy Research Results Release Event, co-sponsored by the China Tourism Academy, Shenzhen Futian District People's Government, and Liangye Technology Group, was held in Shenzhen. The event was held in the form of opening speeches, keynote speeches, report releases, special seminars, etc., and was supported by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, the Publicity Department of the Shenzhen Futian District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Shenzhen Futian District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports. Cultural and tourism departments from all over the country, tourism groups, hotel groups, financial institutions, cultural and tourism night tour companies and major news media participated in the event.

Dai Bin, president of the China Tourism Academy, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Let the light of culture and technology illuminate the night sky of tourism". He pointed out that the renewal of urban and rural residents' life concepts and changes in lifestyles, social investment and supply innovation, promotion policies and social development consensus are the three major driving forces for the development of night tourism. In the future, the development of night tourism needs cultural guidance and technological empowerment, and social investment and market entities need to play a more important role.

Li Shiqing, Party Secretary of the Shenzhen Futian District CPPCC, Wu Jun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and Huang Xizhong, Second-level Inspector of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, delivered speeches at the event. In the results release session, Dr. Zhao Yijing, the head of the night economy research group of the China Tourism Academy, released the "2024 China Night Economy Development Report" on behalf of the research group (report download is attached at the end of the article). The report focuses on the three aspects of "shifting gears of demand growth", "active response and structural optimization of the supply side", and "problem-oriented strategic path". Liu Xiangyan, an associate researcher at the International Research Institute of the China Tourism Academy, released the "Futian Night Economy Development Report" on behalf of the research group (report download is attached at the end of the article), focusing on "vibrant Futian", "starry Futian", and "future Futian", and unfolding from the three aspects of the underlying genes of the night economy development in Futian District, the current supply and demand situation, and the future potential direction.

Dr. Li Qiang from the Industry Institute of the China Tourism Research Institute and Dr. Hou Pingping from the research team released the "2024 Preferred Night Economy Urban Areas" and "2024 Preferred Night Tourism Projects".

Yang Honghao, director of the Industry Institute of the China Tourism Research Institute, hosted a special seminar on "Nighttime Economy and Urban Operations", focusing on topics such as the development of the nighttime economy and refined urban operations. In the special seminar on "High-quality Development of Night Tourism", Qiu Dailun, Chairman of Foshan Creative Industrial Park Investment Management Co., Ltd., and Gail McGibbon, CEO of Sligo, Ireland and senior assessor of Night Purple Flag, shared their views.
