On July 6, 2011, the 2011 First Half Tourism Economic Operation Analysis and the Second Quarter National Tourist Satisfaction Survey Report Release Conference, hosted by the China Tourism Academy and organized by the People's Daily Tourism Channel, was held in the People's Daily Studio. Professor Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, and Dr. Pan Jiancheng, Deputy Director of the China Economic Climate Monitoring Center, attended the conference. Representatives from Xinhua News Agency, Economic Daily, Travel Satellite TV, China Tourism News, China Tourism Network and other media organizations and members of the relevant research team of our academy attended the conference.
President Dai Bin released the results of the tourism economic operation report for the first half of 2011 and the national tourist satisfaction survey report for the second quarter. He pointed out that the development environment of my country's tourism economy was relatively favorable in the first half of the year, and it maintained a stable and rapid trend overall. The development of the tourism economy in the second half of the year is expected to maintain a "relatively optimistic" development trend. If there are no major emergencies that affect the overall situation, the annual development tasks can be achieved. In the second quarter, the national tourist satisfaction stopped falling and rebounded, and the tourist satisfaction of more than half of the sample cities increased. He also hoped that the party committees and governments at all levels could treat the ranking of cities in terms of tourist satisfaction more rationally.
Afterwards, Deputy Director Pan Jiancheng, Associate Researcher Li Zhongguang, Associate Researcher Yang Honghao, and Dr. He Qiongfeng of our institute held a roundtable discussion on the above research results and jointly answered questions from the media and netizens. Members of the relevant research team of our institute also attended the press conference.
