On the morning of January 9, 2013, the "2012 Fourth Quarter Academic Achievements Conference" was held in Chengdu, hosted by the China Tourism Academy, People's Daily Tourism Channel and Travel Satellite TV. Deng Gongli, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, Ding Shixian, Mayor-level leader of Zhengzhou, Zhang Xilin, member of the Standing Committee of the Yan'an Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, She Qingwen, Director of the Tianjin Municipal Tourism Bureau, and other leaders and experts and scholars from more than 20 tourism city governments and tourism administrative departments across the country attended the conference. First, Professor Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, gave a keynote speech. He pointed out that the development of China's tourism industry in the past year was "delightful", with a prosperous market, progress in the industry, and innovation in the government. He is more confident about the development of China's tourism industry in the coming year. He believes that although the development of my country's tourism industry is still facing a series of problems, as long as we continue to adhere to the fundamental concept of "tourism development is for the improvement of people's well-being", adhere to government guidance and market vitality, I believe that China's tourism industry will definitely make people more satisfied and will play a more important role in the historical process of building a well-off society in an all-round way and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Subsequently, Associate Researcher Song Ziqian released the research results of China's Tourism Economy Blue Book (No. 5) "Analysis of China's Tourism Economy Operation in 2012 and Development Forecast in 2013". Research results show that my country's tourism economy continues to maintain steady and rapid growth, and has fully completed the work goals set at the beginning of the year. The total tourism revenue in 2012 is expected to be 2.59 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. The three major tourism markets showed a pattern of "two increases and one level", with domestic and outbound tourism maintaining rapid growth, and inbound tourism basically remaining the same.
Associate Researcher Li Zhongguang released the research results of the 2012 National Tourist Satisfaction Survey Report and announced the satisfaction rankings of 60 sample cities in the fourth quarter and the whole year of 2012. The report shows that the overall satisfaction of Chinese tourists is stable and rising. It has exceeded 80 points for the first time since the launch of the National Tourist Satisfaction Survey, reaching the "satisfactory" level, especially the satisfaction of domestic individual tourists and tourism complaints has increased rapidly.
Dr. Han Yuanjun released the research results of "Integrated Development of Tourism and Cities: Taking Chengdu as an Example". The integrated development of tourism and cities is an inevitable trend in the development of cities and tourism, and an important means to improve the benefits of urban and tourism development. The China Tourism Academy organized a research team to conduct a special investigation on this, systematically sorted out and summarized the concepts and practices of the integrated development of tourism and cities in Chengdu, and on this basis proposed the main tasks and important measures to promote the transformation and upgrading of Chengdu's tourism industry in the future through integration.
Finally, Professor Dai Bin, Professor Luo Zibo, Professor Yang Zhenzhi, Associate Researcher Li Zhongguang and Associate Researcher Song Ziqian conducted in-depth discussions on urban tourism and hot issues in 2012-2013.
