Satisfaction with overseas travel continues to decline On July 9, 2014, the China Tourism Academy released a survey report on the satisfaction of Chinese citizens traveling abroad in the second quarter of 2014 in Beijing. The report shows that the satisfaction index of Chinese citizens traveling abroad has declined for four consecutive quarters, and in the second quarter of 2014 it was at the "basic satisfaction" level of 76.48. Problems in services in industries such as tourism and transportation and public services such as Chinese information are more prominent. The satisfaction level in developed countries such as New Zealand, the United States, and Singapore remains high. I. Overview of Chinese citizens' satisfaction with overseas travel in the second quarter of 2014 In the second quarter of 2014, the satisfaction index of Chinese citizens traveling abroad was at the "basic satisfaction" level of 76.48, which was lower than the same period last year (80.24) and the previous quarter (78.92). In terms of the composition of the satisfaction index, the on-site satisfaction index of tourists was 75.38, and the comment satisfaction index of tourists was 79.61. 17 of the 22 sample countries reached the "basic satisfaction" level of more than 75 points. This quarter, tourists' satisfaction with the image of the destination country, urban construction, urban management, public services, and industry services has declined to varying degrees, mainly reflected in tourism products and services (including foreign travel agencies, foreign tour guides, tourism product and service quality), transportation and other industry services (long-distance passenger transport, railway stations, pedestrian and bicycle paths, traffic signs, taxis, urban buses), Chinese information and other public services (Chinese signs, information and services and destination country border inspection and customs services). In addition, tourists' evaluation of tourism cost-effectiveness and sense of security has also continued to be low. Judging from the actual comments of tourists on the Internet, transportation and tourism cost-effectiveness are also indicators of low satisfaction evaluation. Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Italy, and Spain have low tourism cost-effectiveness and unsatisfactory transportation conditions. In addition, Canada's tourism cost-effectiveness is relatively low, and the Philippines' transportation evaluation score is also low. II. Factors influencing the satisfaction of Chinese citizens in overseas travel in the second quarter of 2014 In the second quarter of 2014, the satisfaction evaluation scores of Chinese citizens on the image, urban construction, urban management, public services and industry services of foreign destinations were 80.46, 79.59, 78.51, 78.76 and 78.35 respectively, which remained at a relatively high level. The degree of satisfaction of tourists on the image, urban construction, urban management, public services and industry services of the destination country is closely related to the country's level of development. 3.
