Research on the ways for tourism enterprises to promote tourism market norms through industry self-discipline

This project is a 2010 bidding topic of the Beijing Tourism Bureau, led by Dr. Li Zhongguang of the Industry Institute. The research report points out that industry self-discipline is an effective way to guide the development of "big tourism". Beijing's tourism industry self-discipline lacks an endogenous mechanism from the bottom up, so the effect of industry self-discipline still needs to be further improved. Overall, according to the characteristics of the industry, the current top-down working method should be changed, and the industry self-discipline construction should be carried out in steps, focusing on the three aspects of policy and regulatory support, industry associations and "responsible tourism" activities.
