China Tourism Research Institute (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) holds the 2024 mid year work conference

On July 2nd, our institution held the 2024 mid year work conference. The meeting was chaired by Dean Dai Bin and attended by members of the hospital's leadership team. Entrusted by the hospital team, Vice President Tang Xiaoyun will summarize the work of the first half of the year and deploy the work of the second half. Significant progress has been made in the construction of high-level think tanks focusing on the center and serving the overall situation; Grasp theoretical research and achievement construction, and achieve new breakthroughs in high-quality research results; Focus on major projects and platform construction, and achieve significant breakthroughs in theoretical platforms; Strengthen the promotion of academic achievements and build a diversified dissemination pattern; Deepen foreign affairs exchanges and expand the international influence of think tanks; Optimize administrative management and enhance the scientific research capabilities of administrative services. Deepen theoretical research and strengthen think tank construction; Strengthen scientific research organization, improve the quality and level of scientific research achievements; Strengthen academic exchanges, international cooperation, and public opinion guidance work; Strengthen the cultivation of high-level tourism talents; Complete the tasks assigned by the Party group of the department with high quality. Entrusted by Dean Dai Bin, President Ma Yiliang's accountant summarized and planned the six-month work of our institute's tourism statistics and data. In the first half of the year, the research results of data line theory were relatively fruitful, and the horizontal and vertical transformation of horizontal topics entered a benign development track; The results of think tanks have improved in both quantity and quality, and have played a practical role in promoting related work; Significant progress has been made in the construction of the "two databases and three systems", and the research support capability has been significantly improved; The project research continues to expand, with relatively outstanding financial security capabilities; Further clarification of division of labor and cooperation, and normalization of data verification mechanism. In the second half of the year, we will continue to accelerate the process and standardization of data production; Do a good job in researching and writing think tank achievements; Continue to strengthen the construction of diverse heterogeneous databases and the operation and maintenance of system platforms; Cooperate well with the pilot and acceptance of the 2030 Science and Technology Innovation Project; Organize a training course on tourism data and statistics, as well as an annual conference on data cooperation networks; Conduct research on both horizontal and vertical topics effectively; Accelerate the output of academic achievements; Carry out routine data production and release work.

Dean Dai Bin fully affirmed the achievements made by our hospital in the first half of the year, and hoped that all cadres and staff of the hospital would continue to work hard under the strong leadership of the Party group and the strong support of various departments and bureaus, and do a good job in the summer and second half of the year. In the annual theme speech of "Strengthening Ideological Work in Tourism Research in the New Era", Dean Dai emphasized the importance of ideological work. Combining with the history and struggle of the research institute, he pointed out that tourism research in the new era must adhere to the comprehensive leadership of the Party, uphold the people's position, continuously promote the construction of the national tourism development theoretical system, steadily promote the construction of the tourism data system, and provide knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual momentum for the construction of a strong tourism country. In the new era of tourism research, it is necessary to strengthen the awareness of the battlefield and the spirit of struggle, resolutely fight against the pessimistic theory of tourism industry development, the failure theory of "how long can the banner of the research institute be raised", and the academic guerrilla theory of giving up platform and battlefield construction. In the new era of tourism research, it is necessary to strengthen theoretical consciousness and cultural confidence, unite and lead the national tourism academic community, accelerate the construction of a people-centered national tourism development theory, do a good job in theoretical promotion, and tell the story of China from a tourism perspective.

50 staff members, postdoctoral fellows, and visiting scholars from our hospital attended the mid year work conference this year. 70 people including the secretary and director of Temple of Heaven Park, Ma Wenxiang, the park leadership team, deputy department level and above cadres of Temple of Heaven Park, and staff from government departments attended the annual theme speech session on site.
