Announcement on the Selection of Excellent Research Results in Culture and Tourism in 2024

The China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) has launched the selection of outstanding cultural and tourism research results in 2024. The relevant matters are announced as follows:

1. Application requirements

1. The participating results must focus on culture and tourism research, and the results include: (1) government decision-making consultation, special research and data research reports (excluding planning results); (2) publicly published academic papers; (3) publicly published academic monographs. The time range for achievement completion is required to be from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.

2. The authors of the research results must work in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for the time being) and must be Chinese nationals. For research results co-authored by authors in mainland China and overseas authors, the author in mainland China must serve as the editor-in-chief or the first signatory.

3. The authors of the evaluation results are limited to reporting only one individual achievement, and may also report one collective achievement. The collective achievement is submitted for application by the first author. 4. The evaluation results must meet the following requirements: (1) The research report must be publicly published or clearly marked as completed within 2023 (such as a completion certificate), and must provide proof that the core content or main viewpoints of the report have been actually adopted by relevant institutions or departments, or valid proof of economic, technological, and social impact. (2) The paper must be published in professional journals and newspapers recognized by the national news and publishing administrative department, with a CN number, and a word count of at least 3000 words. Those included in the collection of papers shall be subject to the same provisions as in paragraph (3) of this article. (3) Monographs must be publicly published and distributed by official national publishing houses and have complete CIP data. Foreign published monographs must have an ISBN number. 2、 Application Materials 1. The applicant shall fill out the "Application Form for Excellent Research Achievements in Culture and Tourism" (June 2024) as required. The electronic version of the application form can be accessed from the macro decision-making topics and excellent research achievement management system for culture and tourism（ http://221.239.119.24:8088/xmsb/indexAction ! Download from the "Materials Download" section of to_index. action. 2. The paper version of the "Declaration Form" requires submission of one original and two copies, printed on A3 paper with double-sided printing and bound with a middle seam. It must be reviewed and recommended by the scientific research management department or relevant functional department of the applicant's unit and stamped with the unit seal. We do not accept application materials that do not include recommended opinions from units. The information on the signed and stamped declaration form should be strictly consistent with the electronic declaration form. Three original copies are required for the results, and one original and two copies can be submitted for papers and research reports. The photocopy of the research paper must include the journal cover, complete table of contents, and the full text of the paper, and be bound into a volume. The supporting materials should be bound separately and required to be in triplicate, which should be able to prove the ideological level, academic value, practical application value, influence, and actual benefits of the evaluation results. If the language of the evaluation results is foreign, three hard copies of the Chinese translation of the full text of the results must be submitted at the same time. 3、 The submission time and method of the "Application Form" will be automatically considered accepted after the applicant's unit logs in to the cultural and tourism macro decision-making topic and excellent research achievement management system for online review. It will not be accepted without the online review of the unit. The deadline for the application and unit review of this year's achievements is 17:00 on July 31, 2024. The system will automatically close if overdue. Individual registration does not require the approval of the supporting unit. Based on unit registration, follow the relevant steps on the "Registration and Review Instructions" page of the management system to complete the "Unit Account Application Form", which can be downloaded from the "Material Download" section. Registered units and individuals do not need to register again. Please send the paper application materials of each unit to the Research Management Department of China Tourism Research Institute before July 31, 2024 (based on the postmark). We do not accept personal mailed application materials.
