China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) holds the 2024 mid-year work meeting

On July 2, our institute held the 2024 mid-year work meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dean Dai Bin and attended by members of the hospital team. Entrusted by the hospital team, Vice President Tang Xiaoyun made a summary of the work in the first half of the year and work arrangements for the second half of the year. In the first half of the year, our college insisted on raising the flag and forging a soul, strengthening the leadership of party building, focusing on the annual theme of "Ideology Construction", in-depth study, publicity and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, and study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on tourism work and national publicity thoughts In the spirit of the Cultural Work Conference and the National Tourism Development Conference; focusing on the center and serving the overall situation, significant progress has been made in the construction of high-level think tank results; we have focused on theoretical research and achievement construction, and high-quality research results have achieved new breakthroughs; we have focused on the construction of major projects and platforms, and the theoretical platform has been realized Make major breakthroughs; strengthen the promotion of academic achievements and build a diversified communication pattern; deepen foreign affairs exchanges and expand the international influence of think tanks; optimize administrative management and enhance administrative service and scientific research capabilities. In the second half of the year, our institute will continue to study and implement Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts and the spirit of the National Tourism Conference; deepen theoretical research and strengthen think tank construction; strengthen scientific research organization and improve the quality and level of scientific research results; strengthen academic exchanges, international cooperation and public opinion guidance; strengthen Cultivate high-level tourism talents; complete the tasks assigned by the party group of the ministry with high quality. Entrusted by Dean Dai Bin, Chief Statistician Ma Yiliang summarized and planned the half-year work of our institute on tourism statistics and data. In the first half of the year, the theoretical research results of data lines were relatively fruitful, and the vertical transformation of horizontal topics has entered a healthy development track; the quality and quality of think tank results have improved, and have been effective in promoting related work; significant progress has been made in the construction of "two databases and three systems", and scientific research Support capabilities have been significantly improved; project research continues to expand, and financial support capabilities are relatively outstanding; division of labor and cooperation are further clarified, and data verification mechanisms are operating on a regular basis. In the second half of the year, we will continue to speed up the process and standardization of data production; do a good job in research and compilation of think tank results; continue to consolidate the construction of multiple heterogeneous heterogeneous databases and system platform operation and maintenance; cooperate with the pilot and acceptance of the Science and Technology Innovation 2030 project; and start tourism well. Data and tourism statistics training class and data cooperation network annual meeting; do research on horizontal and vertical topics; accelerate the output of academic results; do a good job in regular data production and release.

President Dai Bin fully affirmed the achievements made by our institute in the first half of the year, and hoped that all the cadres and staff of the institute would make persistent efforts to do a good job in the summer and the second half of the year under the strong leadership of the Party Group of the Ministry and the strong support of various departments and bureaus. In the annual theme speech of "Tourism Research in the New Era Must Strengthen Ideological Work", President Dai emphasized the importance of ideological work. Combining the history and struggle of the institute, he pointed out that tourism research in the new era must adhere to the overall leadership of the Party, stick to the people's standpoint, continue to promote the construction of the national tourism development theory system, steadily promote the construction of the tourism data system, and provide knowledge, wisdom and spiritual kinetic energy for the construction of a tourism power. Tourism research in the new era must strengthen the awareness of positions and the spirit of struggle, resolutely fight against the pessimism of tourism industry development, resolutely fight against the failure theory of "how long can the flag of the institute be held", and resolutely fight against the academic guerrilla theory of abandoning the platform and position construction. Tourism research in the new era must strengthen theoretical consciousness and cultural confidence, unite and lead the national tourism academic community, accelerate the construction of a national tourism development theory centered on the people, do a good job in corresponding theoretical propaganda, and tell the Chinese story from the perspective of tourism.

All the staff of our institute, postdoctoral fellows and visiting scholars attended the mid-year work meeting. Ma Wenxiang, secretary and director of the Temple of Heaven Park, and the park leadership team, deputy section-level cadres and above of the Temple of Heaven Park, and 70 staff members of the department attended the annual theme speech session.
