Introduction 000@@00

This report has been published continuously for 18 years, with Director Dai Bin serving as the editor-in-chief. The report focuses on the steadily recovering Chinese outbound tourism market, concentrating on the changes in the market, the actions of destinations and market entities, systematically analyzing the influencing factors, the distribution of tourists, the performance of destinations and tourists' perceptions, and combining satisfaction surveys to reveal consumption characteristics. The report assesses the practical effectiveness of destinations and market entities, pays attention to the future development trends of Chinese outbound tourism, and provides action references for management departments, enterprises and decision-makers.

In 2025, the number of Chinese outbound tourists will be close to the level of 2019, with an average of 1 outbound tourist for every 10 citizens. The trend of a downward shift in the source market and a dispersion of destinations is evident, and the deficit in cross-border tourists is approximately 4.88 million. Due to the influence of high-quality Chinese-made products, the development of cross-border e-commerce, and the effectiveness of domestic duty-free store policies, overseas tourism consumption has continued to flow back, and the balance of tourism service trade has continuously improved. To share the dividends of China's economic development, more countries have introduced visa-free policies for China, and outbound tourism is playing an increasingly important role in people-to-people diplomacy.
