In his speech, President Dai Bin pointed out that the theoretical construction of green tourism in the new era should follow Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought and General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important instructions and important expositions on tourism work. To clarify the development path of green tourism with Chinese characteristics, we must rely on the tourism market of more than 6 billion people per year and pay attention to the consumption concepts and behaviors of tourists; we must rely on the protection space of natural resources such as the natural protection area system with national parks as the main body, and use it as the most important resource basis for the development of green tourism; we must rely on historical and cultural resources including national cultural parks, archaeological sites parks and cultural and museum venues to let the general public understand the beauty of culture and enhance cultural confidence in the process of tourism. In the future, the following key tasks should be clarified to promote the high-quality development of green tourism: First, the concept of green and sustainable development should be integrated into the construction process of world-class tourist attractions and resorts, world-class tourist cities and villages, world-class tourist routes and world-class tourist destinations; second, through the release of a series of important data reports and theoretical innovation of research results, theoretical guidance and direction exploration should be provided for the high-quality development of green tourism and tourism industry; third, we should do a good job in policy design for the development of green tourism, and continue to do a good job in the relevant planning of sustainable development of green tourism, and incorporate it into the "15th Five-Year" tourism plan to be compiled. Finally, in the process of building a world tourism community, we must work together with the international community to contribute Chinese wisdom to the development of green tourism, sustainable development, and high-quality development of the tourism industry, and form China's theoretical system, discipline system, academic system and discourse system.
