Dai Bin went to Thailand for inspection and exchange

At the invitation of the Thai Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA) and with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, went to Thailand from October 28 to 30, 2024 to attend the 2024 Thailand International Travel Agents Conference and conduct academic exchanges with relevant institutions.

On October 28, Thapaini, Director General of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, held a working meeting with Dai Bin in Bangkok. The two sides conducted a systematic and in-depth discussion on the current status, policy research, market data and future development of China-Thailand tourism exchanges, as well as future trends, and exchanged opinions and suggestions on cooperation between the two agencies.

Xu Nalin, president of the Thailand Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA), and key members of the board of directors held a special discussion with Dai Bin on pragmatically promoting cooperation between the institute and the association.

On October 29, Dai Bin visited the National Policy Committee on Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (NXPO) and the Thailand National Research Institute (TSRI) of Thailand, and shared experiences and achievements on China-Thailand tourism research with Chairman Surachai Sathikunarat, project management and professional research teams, and reached a consensus on cooperation.

At the 2024 Thailand International Travel Agents Conference, Dai Bin was invited to deliver a keynote speech entitled "Growth, Change and Concern - China's Inbound and Outbound Tourism Market Situation and Policy Outlook". He pointed out that in the past two years, as economic and social development has entered a new stage of normal development, the Chinese people's curiosity about the world has been reawakened, and the outbound tourism market has recovered rapidly. The safety and quality of hundreds of millions of Chinese citizens traveling abroad are areas of our focus. At the same time, China's inbound tourism has also entered a new channel of rapid recovery and a new stage of prosperity and development. When "Hello! China" meets "Magical Thailand", tourism exchanges between China and Thailand have quickly resumed. Thanks to the mutual efforts of the tourism departments and the tourism industry, it will surely continue to promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry.

During his stay in Bangkok, Dai Bin also made a special trip to visit Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Han Zhiqiang. He was invited to give a special report to diplomatic officials and overseas cadres. They jointly studied General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on tourism work and the spirit of the National Tourism Development Conference, and briefed on the current tourism economic situation and relevant situation of China-Thailand tourism exchanges.

Chang Yumeng, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Zhao Xin, Deputy Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok, and Zheng Chujin, Secretary-General of the Tourism and Travel Association of Thailand, participated in the activities together.
