On November 20, the review results of the 2010 National Social Science Fund Major Bidding Project were announced. The project "Research on Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Tourism Development" hosted by Dean Dai Bin of our institute was awarded the project funding, and the project research period is 3 years. This project is the first tourism research topic established by the National Social Science Fund Major Project. Project Summary: my country's tourism industry is in its golden development period, various contradictions are emerging, and the quality of the industry is in urgent need of improvement. Comprehensively improving the quality of tourism development has become a prominent practical problem. In order to closely follow the "solution" of the overall goal of "cultivating tourism into a strategic pillar industry of the national economy and a modern service industry that the people are more satisfied with", provide theoretical support for development goals in academia, and provide empirical support for development policies in practice, this topic will systematically sort out various problems of tourism development quality based on the overall requirements of comprehensively improving the quality of tourism development, combined with the industry characteristics of the tourism industry, and conduct concentrated analysis and research. The research of this project has important practical significance for building a tourism quality detection and evaluation system, strengthening the construction of a tourism policy system, and guiding the rapid development of my country's tourism industry.
