The Central Organization Department approved the establishment of the China Tourism Research Institute

On July 30, 2007, the Central Organization Department agreed to set up the China Tourism Academy in accordance with the "Request for the Establishment of the China Tourism Academy", which will be mainly responsible for conducting research on basic theories, policies, key and hot issues in the development of the tourism industry, participating in the research, preparation and demonstration of tourism development plans, and providing relevant technical support for the review of tourism development plans submitted by local governments.
