The press conference for the 2010 fourth quarter national tourist satisfaction survey report was held in Beijing

On January 6, 2011, the National Tourist Satisfaction Survey Report (2010 Q4) was released in the People's Daily Online Studio, hosted by the China Tourism Academy and co-organized by the People's Daily Online Tourism Channel. Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, Pei Fei, Director of the Market Service Department of the China National Institute of Standardization, and Li Gaoshuai, Senior Director of the User Work Department of the China Quality Association, attended the conference. Representatives from many media organizations such as the People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, Economic Daily, Travel Satellite TV, and China Tourism News also attended the release conference.

Dai Bin, the leader of the National Tourist Satisfaction Survey Research Group and the director of the Institute, first delivered a keynote speech. He pointed out that the tourist satisfaction survey is necessary to achieve the national strategy of "cultivating the tourism industry into a modern service industry that the people are more satisfied with", and that taking the perspective of ordinary people to conduct surveys and evaluations is in line with the overall trend of the transformation of the tourism industry's development mode.

Associate Professor Li Zhongguang, executive leader of the National Tourist Satisfaction Survey Project Team and director of the Institute of Industry, introduced the results of the National Tourist Satisfaction Survey in the fourth quarter of 2010 to the media present. The survey showed that the tourist satisfaction index in 2010 was 78.95, which was at the "basic satisfaction" level. Among them, the satisfaction of on-site tourists was 83.75, the satisfaction of tourists' online comments was 82.49, and the satisfaction of tourists' complaints was 45.01. The satisfaction of tourism environment, tourism public services, tourism-related industries and various service elements was mostly below 70 points, and the satisfaction level was low, with a gap of 5-10 points compared with developed countries and regions in tourism.

Afterwards, the guests answered questions from the media and netizens. Also attending the press conference were some members of the research team from our Institute of Industry, including Dr. Yang Honghao, Dr. Yang Yanfeng, Dr. He Qiongfeng, and Dr. Chen Xu.
