Professor Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Research Institute, Jiang Yan, Researcher of Policy and Regulation Department of Beijing Tourism Commission, Zhang Lingjie, Assistant to the President of China International Travel Service Corporation, Zhou Peng, Senior Marketing Director of Baidu Search Engine Marketing Department, Li Zhongguang, Deputy Researcher of Industry Institute of China Tourism Research Institute, and Tang Xiaoyun, Deputy Researcher in charge of National Tourism Economy Laboratory, attended the press conference. Representatives from media organizations such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, China Radio International, China Daily, Economic Daily, China Tourism News, China.com, CCTV.com, China Tourism Network, Sohu Network, Phoenix Network, Blue Ocean Television, and Travel Agency Magazine also attended the press conference. Dai Bin first delivered the keynote speech, summarizing the tourist satisfaction survey in the second quarter with the word "expectation". Because tourism is a remote and normalized way of life, it requires everything to be within our expectations and control. This involves three crucial time points in the operation of the tourism economy: pre trip, mid trip, and post trip evaluations. He stated that during the tourism process, the most important factors for ordinary people are disposable income, disposable time, and a positive incentive environment. From the State Council Document No. 41 of 2009, to the Tourism Law, the National Tourism and Leisure Outline, and the "Several Opinions on the Reform and Development of the Tourism Industry" officially passed by the State Council at the beginning of the month, all emphasize the gradual implementation of paid leave, so people can have a better expectation of their travel time. In terms of income, ordinary people have more and more idle money in their pockets, and their travel expenses are becoming more and more affordable. Domestic tourism is the core support of the entire tourism economy in the basic market. Due to the predictable consumption of ordinary people, the market foundation of the entire tourism economy is highly predictable. He emphasized that due to the joint efforts of governments at all levels and commercial institutions, tourists' long-distance living in their destinations has become more predictable. The role of enterprises here, innovation in the industry, especially in smart tourism, is indispensable for tourists to obtain destination information, consumption information, and so on. In the past quarter, the satisfaction of outbound tourists has decreased, mainly due to the availability of information at the destination. Based on the people's yearning for a better life including tourism, the innovation of enterprises, especially the attention of social capital to the tourism field, and the innovation of Internet mobile communication technology, he kept optimistic expectations for the operation of the tourism economy throughout the year. Subsequently, Dr. Chen Xu from the National Tourism Economy Laboratory of our institute released an analysis of the tourism economy operation in the first half of 2014 and a trend forecast report for the second half of the year. The report believes that China's tourism economy operated well overall in the first half of the year, achieving the expected growth. Despite the continued decline in the inbound market, the fundamental demand for national tourism consumption still maintains a double-digit high-speed growth. From the perspective of the overall situation throughout the year, we can still maintain a relatively optimistic outlook. It is expected that the total number of tourists received throughout the year will be 3.76 billion, with a total tourism revenue of 3.3 trillion yuan. Our Institute of Industry Director Li Zhongguang, Associate Researcher, released the second quarter national tourist satisfaction survey report. The report shows that the national tourist satisfaction index in the second quarter of 2014 was 72.84, an increase of 0.22 from the first quarter. The report points out that with the effectiveness of the special rectification of the tourism market order and the continuous efforts of sample cities, the satisfaction of typical tourism industries such as scenic spots and travel agencies has begun to rise, further driving a significant increase in the satisfaction of domestic and inbound tourists. However, the "old problem" of the quality of industry development has not been effectively resolved, and factors such as safety and society are showing a cumulative impact, leading to a further decline in satisfaction among outbound tourists. Dr. He Qiongfeng from the Industry Institute has released the second quarter satisfaction survey report on Chinese citizens' overseas travel. The report shows that the satisfaction index of Chinese citizens' overseas travel has been declining for four consecutive quarters, reaching a "basic satisfaction" level of 76.48 in the second quarter of 2014. The problems in tourism, transportation and other industry services, as well as public services such as Chinese information, are more prominent. The satisfaction level of developed countries such as New Zealand, the United States and Singapore continues to be high. Finally, the attending guests conducted an in-depth roundtable discussion on "Tourism Economic Situation and Tourist Satisfaction Improvement". Also attending the press conference were members of our hospital's relevant research group.
