With the introduction of a series of major national strategies such as the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the Opinions of the State Council on Further Promoting the Economic and Social Development of Guangxi (Guofa [2009] No. 42), the opening and development of the Beibu Gulf region of Guangxi, the Great Western Development, and the Border Development and People's Livelihood Prosperity Action, Guangxi has become the intersection of many national strategies and has been pushed to the forefront of the development of the times and the high ground of strategic development. Against this background, in order to build a strong tourism province and become a major distribution center and destination for regional international tourism facing ASEAN in China, the China Tourism Academy, commissioned by the Tourism Bureau of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, presided over the preparation of the Overall Plan for the Development of Guangxi Tourism. The plan will give a new interpretation to the tourism industry in Guangxi, conduct research and innovation on the basis of the original plan, make Guangxi a national demonstration area for tourism development, and lead the development of the national tourism industry. The plan is expected to achieve breakthroughs in the following four aspects: first, seek a new positioning for Guangxi in the country; second, seek a new positioning for the tourism industry in the economic and social development of Guangxi; third, seek new breakthroughs in project construction; fourth, achieve breakthroughs in product integration, market development, spatial layout, etc.
