Chongqing's 12th Five-Year Tourism Development Plan

Entrusted by Chongqing Tourism Bureau, the Institute undertook the research work of the project "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Chongqing Tourism Development". With the Policy Institute as the lead unit, the Institute integrated the forces inside and outside the Institute for joint research. The project analyzed the achievements of Chongqing's "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" development and the foundation for further development, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", clarified the guiding ideology, development principles and goals of Chongqing's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" tourism development, and put forward the main tasks and support guarantees for Chongqing's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" tourism development. The project proposed that we should focus on the goals of building a well-off society in an all-round way, creating China's inland open highland, and building a western tourism highland. From the height of a strategic pillar industry, we should firmly establish the concept of big tourism, promote the integration of Chongqing's tourism development with urban construction and new rural construction, promote the integrated development of tourism and related industries, promote the accelerated development of Chongqing's tourism industry, and build tourism into a strategic pillar industry that improves people's living standards and drives the city's economy to develop well and fast.
