The establishment of the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance (preparatory) and the first meeting were held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang

Recently, the establishment and first meeting of the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance (preparatory) was held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Research Institute, Chen Xianghong, Vice President of China Tourism Association, Chairman of Dingdu Group Co., Ltd., and Founder of Wuzhen Tourism, Zhou Jing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Jiaxing Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, and others attended the meeting. Representatives from ancient towns across the country gathered in Jiaxing to discuss the establishment of the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance (preparatory). The meeting discussed and voted on the "Rules of Procedure for the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance (Preparatory)". This is the first time that the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance has been established at the national level. It has built a joint development mechanism and communication platform to consolidate consensus on the prosperity and development of ancient town tourism, and jointly create a high-quality development brand for ancient town tourism. It is of great significance for promoting the growth and strength of ancient town tourism.

At the meeting, Dean Dai Bin provided guidance on the follow-up work of the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance from the aspects of development concept, action plan, and phased goals. He hoped that representatives of each ancient town would establish a long-term stable cooperation mechanism for the Chinese Ancient Town Tourism Alliance under the guidance of a common concept, with interests as the link, unite and cooperate pragmatically. Dean Dai Bin also put forward work suggestions on the transformation and upgrading of ancient town tourism and high-quality development from the perspectives of ancient and new, citizens and tourists, technology and humanities, government and market. Finally, Dean Dai Bin stated that the China Tourism Research Institute will work together with the Ancient Town Tourism Development Alliance to fully leverage the role of the "Ancient Town Tourism Observation Station" and provide practical basis and professional support for building a large-scale distribution system for ancient town tourism.

The China Tourism Research Institute and Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism have launched multidimensional cooperation since June 2023, and have formed a series of special achievements in the field of ancient town tourism. The "China Tourism Research Institute Ancient Town Tourism Observation Station (Jiaxing)" has been established for long-term tracking and research.
