On the morning of August 4th, a delegation from the Bulgarian government, led by Mayor Penjo Milkov of Ruse, visited our institution. Comrades from the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission and the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism participated in this symposium together.
Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Academy, systematically explained to the delegation the development and evolution of China's tourism market, the guidance and effectiveness of facilitation policies such as visas, payments, and tax exemptions (refunds), local experiences in China's tourism development, and the corresponding strategies and expansion suggestions for China Pakistan economic and trade exchanges and tourism. Dai Bin pointed out that China's tourism industry has entered a new stage of high-quality development, and the tourism economy has moved from sustained growth to a new cycle of prosperous development. Dai Bin stressed that China and Bulgaria have great potential for people to people and cultural exchanges and tourism cooperation, and tourism should and can be regarded as a priority area of diplomatic and non-governmental exchanges between the two countries. It can be focused on the replacement of tourism marketing and promotion resources, cooperation between market players, aviation connectivity, optimization of tourist reception system and other fields to jointly build a new pattern of China and Bulgaria tourism cooperation.
The Bulgarian government delegation appreciates Dai Bin's professional judgment and practical suggestions. Members of the delegation, including Mayor Penjo Mirkov of Ruse, Mayor Tsvetan Cenkov of Vidin, Mayor Tania Hristova of Gabrovo, Mayor Hristov of Shumen, Deputy Mayor Rosycha Prachkova of Chustendil, Deputy Mayor Stefan Krastev of Pernik, and Deputy Mayor Elka Nedelcheva of Razgrad, respectively introduced the characteristics and development trends of the tourism resources in their respective cities. They analyzed the potential and opportunities of China Bulgaria tourism cooperation around themes such as cultural tourism, business tourism, cruise tourism, study tourism, hot spring health preservation, festival exhibitions, and industrial heritage revitalization.
Also attending the symposium and exchange were Vasil Aleksandrov, Deputy Mayor of Yambor, Theodora Dacheva, Deputy Secretary General of the City Alliance, Pramen Legokstup, former President of the University of Dortmund, Iskra Mandova, Dean of the Confucius Institute of the University of Dortmund, Kristalina Halacheva, Secretary of the City of Targovisht, Nadka Simonova, Secretary of the City of Aksakovo, Gnady Vilkov, Member of the Vidin City Council, Veronica Stoilova, Counselor of the City of Vlasa, Dejan Dimitrov, former District Chief of the Razgrad Region, Simona PopGeorgieva, Advisor of the City of Erenperin, Aleksandar Pelpeliev, Protocol Officer of the City of Karlovo, Dimitar Genkov, Secretary of Serbia City, Kremena Hristova, Drug Expert of Shumen City A total of 25 representatives from the Bulgarian government delegation, including Aleksandar Nikolaov, Vice Chairman of the Education and Science Union Federation, Angel Apostolov, Senior Expert of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, Stanislawa Vacheva, Director of the Troyan Municipal Government, and Deriang Balev, Secretary of the City Alliance. The Chinese representatives who participated in this symposium and exchange included Hu Yanqian, a cadre of the Industrial Development Department of the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, Dai Ying, a second level director of the Eurasian Department of the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Yang Jinsong, director of the International Exchange and Finance Department of the China Tourism Research Institute, Liu Xiangyan, director of the International (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) Research Institute of the China Tourism Research Institute, and Zhang Jiayi, assistant researcher of the Data Analysis Research Institute.
