"China Study Tour Development Report·Shaoxing Release" event was successfully held

On October 25, 2024, the "China Study Tour Development Report·Shaoxing Release" event, jointly sponsored by the China Tourism Academy and the Shaoxing Municipal People's Government and hosted by the Shaoxing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, was successfully held in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. The conference was carried out in the form of keynote speeches, reports, release of excellent cases, release of destination construction consensus, and study dialogues. It aims to implement the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on cultural and tourism work, implement the requirements of the National Tourism Development Conference, explore a study tour development model with Chinese characteristics, and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of my country's study tour industry.

150 guests including the Education Division of the Science and Technology and Education Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Television and Tourism of Zhejiang Province, the publicity, culture and tourism departments of Hefei, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Qufu, Shaoshan and other cities, experts and scholars from universities and research institutions, study tour service providers, camping institutions and news media attended the release and discussion activities. The meeting on the morning of the 25th was divided into three stages.

In the first stage, Ding Ruxing, member of the Standing Committee of the Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, delivered a speech on behalf of the host city.

Chu Xiaoyan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, delivered a speech.

The second stage is the keynote speech session.

Dai Bin, president of our college, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Doing a good job in social education and building a new pattern of study tour". He pointed out that study tour is an important path for social education for young people, especially primary and secondary school students, and is also an organic part of the national lifelong education system. Under the joint efforts of the government and the market, my country has become a major country in the world for study tour. How to promote the high-quality development of study tour in my country in the future is a question that must be answered and answered well. To this end, he suggested that the development of study tour in my country should adhere to the orientation of publicness and equality, and the government, market and society should make multi-dimensional efforts to improve the supply system of study tour; accelerate the formation of a new pattern of study tour work with high-level promotion, central-local coordination, and government-enterprise cooperation.

Lin Shuizhou, an expert in supervision and evaluation of primary and secondary schools of the Ministry of Education and deputy director of the Expert Committee of the Research and Practice Education Working Committee of the China Smart Engineering Research Association, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Some Directions for the Future Development of Research and Study Tourism."

The third stage includes the release of "China Study Tour Development Report (2023-2024)", "Study Tour City - Shaoxing Study Tour Development Report" and "China's Excellent Study Tour Destination·Benchmark City".

Dr. Zhang Yang of the China Tourism Academy released the "China Study Tourism Development Report (2023-2024)" on behalf of the Study Tourism Research Group. The report comprehensively analyzes the development trends of study tourism in China since 2023 from five dimensions: cognition, catalysis, change, focus, and thinking.

On behalf of the study tour research team, Dr. Chai Yan released the "Study Tour·City—Shaoxing Study Tour Development Report", analyzing the relationship between study tour and Shaoxing's city brand building from the perspective of urban development.

In the release session of "China's Study Tour Destination·Benchmark City", President Dai Bin and Shaoxing Vice Mayor Chen Weijun jointly issued certificates to the five benchmark cities (districts) of Hefei, Shenzhen Futian District, Chengdu Xinjin District, Qufu City, and Shaoshan City. Wu Yajuan, Party Secretary and Director of Hefei Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Huang Zhen, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of Shenzhen Futian District Committee and Director of Futian District Spiritual Civilization Construction Office, Fu Wen, Deputy Director of Chengdu Xinjin District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Sports and Tourism, Kong Guodong, Deputy Director of Qufu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Wang Jin, Deputy Director of Shaoshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television, Sports and Commerce, came to the stage as representatives of the cities (districts) and shared their experiences, practices and highlights in developing study tours.

Subsequently, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Research Institute, Ding Ruxing, member of the Standing Committee of the Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, Chen Weijun, Deputy Mayor of Shaoxing, Zhou Leilei, Director of the Education Activities Department of the China Children's Center, and Lin Shuizhou, an expert in the supervision and evaluation of primary and secondary schools in the Ministry of Education and deputy director of the Expert Committee of the Research and Practice Education Working Committee of the China Smart Engineering Research Association, jointly issued the "Consensus on the Construction of High-Quality Research and Study Tourism Destinations". On the afternoon of the 25th, the meeting was divided into two sections.

In the first session, Park Huashun, principal of Hailiang Foreign Language School, gave a keynote speech entitled "Sharing the Research and Study Practice System of Hailiang Foreign Language School", analyzing the positioning and practice of research and study tourism from the perspective of the school.

Ma Qingyu, founder of the Science Popularization Traveler Nature Education Platform and naturalist, gave a speech entitled "Let Nature Education Bring Study Tours for Symbiosis between Man and Nature", analyzing how to design, implement and evaluate courses from the perspective of enterprises.

Dai Bin, president of the China Tourism Research Institute, hosted the first roundtable dialogue: "Study Tour·Principal Dialogue", and discussed with Zhao Dongyun, executive principal of Beilin Experimental Primary School in Haidian District, Beijing, Jin Wen, secretary of the Party Committee of Swan Lake Education Group of Hefei No. 50 Middle School, Ruan Qiang, vice principal of Shenzhen Mingde Experimental School (Group) Xiangmi Campus and executive principal of the junior high school department, and Jin Jianguang, principal of Shaoxing No. 1 Junior High School Education Group, on topics such as what is good education, how to effectively coordinate between home, school and society, and how travel and education can empower each other.

In the second section, Dr. Yin Yingmei, on behalf of the joint research team (China Tourism Research Institute Study Tourism Research Group & ICE Camp Research Institute), released the "China Youth Camp Development Report", which explored the current status and future trends of my country's youth camp development.

Then, Dr. Huan Meili from the China Tourism Academy released the "China Study Camp·Special Cases".

Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Research Institute, and Hu Hualiang, Party Secretary and Director of Shaoxing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, jointly issued certificates to the camping enterprises.

Afterwards, Delane Lim, Secretary General of the Singapore Outdoor Learning and Adventure Education Association and Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore, delivered a keynote speech titled "Singapore Outdoor Adventure Education Partnership and Ecosystem" in an online speech, introducing the practice and experience of study tours in Singapore.

Nie Aijun, director of the ICE Camp Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Youth International Exchange Telling China's Story Well".

Finally, the second roundtable dialogue "Study and Travel·Camp Dialogue" was hosted by Duan Diandian, Secretary General of ICE Camp Research Institute. Focusing on the construction and development of my country's study and research camps, the conference had extensive discussions with Huang Yiming, Director of the Party and Government Office of Shanghai Youth Extracurricular Activity Camp-Oriental Green Boat and Director of the Public Safety Education Training Base, Zheng Xiaoyun, Chairman and General Manager of Shaoxing Lanting Scenic Area Management Co., Ltd., Liu Chen, General Manager of Guizhou Pingtang Wentianxingchen Study and Research Service Co., Ltd., Wu Hanlin, Director of Hailiang Quality Education Project Operation Department and National Camp Project Operation Director, and Zhao Meng, Founder of Wild Fun International Camp and Dean of Wild Fun International Education College. As a high-level, overall and continuous release event in the field of China's study and research tourism, the "China Study and Research Tourism Development Report·Shaoxing Release" conference is gradually accumulating the brand effect of think tanks. The conference has also received attention and coverage from more than 20 mainstream media such as China National Radio, People's Daily, and Xinhuanet, and has attracted widespread attention from people from all walks of life such as government, enterprises, industry, academia, and research.
