On December 19, our institute's local and enterprise data cooperation network working meeting was held in Shanghai. The meeting read out the latest revised local and enterprise cooperation network management measures of the China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), and carried out in-depth exchanges and discussions around the 2024 data cooperation network work summary and 2025 work deployment. A total of 52 representatives from 28 cooperation network member units from all over the country attended the meeting. President Dai Bin attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
At the meeting, Li Zhongyi, Secretary and Director of Chongqing Culture and Tourism Information Center (Data Center), Li Yiqiang, Director of Hubei Tourism Data Center, Liu Zhiwei, Level 3 Researcher of Henan Culture and Tourism Department, Zhang Jigao, Senior Statistician of Shandong Tourism Vocational College, Han Wenbo, Level 3 Researcher of Changchun Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Wu Zhihang, Cadre of Fuzhou Tourism Service Center, Gan Yongfu, Director of Rural Tourism Branch of Data Center of Ministry of Culture and Tourism, represented seven branches; Ma Lei, Vice Chairman and President of Jingyu Group, Qian Jia, General Manager of UnionPay Business Big Data Service Division, Sun Wenbin, Deputy Director of China Telecom Publicity Industry Research Institute, Wang Lin, Hotel Data Director of Ctrip Group, and Zhejiang Shenda Intelligent Digital Intelligence. Chen Xiaohua, deputy director of the Cultural and Tourism Research Institute, Wang Xiaoxue, deputy director of the Mafengwo Tourism Research Institute, Zhou Haixia, operations director of Shanghai Chuangtu Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Qi Lina, marketing director of Jingcai Travel Map (Beijing) Technology Development Co., Ltd., represented the eight joint laboratories; Cui Luwei, director of the Data Information Department of Hebei Culture and Tourism Innovation and Development Center, Jiang Hong, dean of the School of Hotel Management of Shanghai Business School, Wang Haoran, general manager of Anhui Classic Market Research Consulting Co., Ltd., and Zhou Chengwang, general manager of Fujian Huatong Market Research Co., Ltd., represented the four bases and statistical cooperation units; they reported on the construction of offline sample libraries, big data collection and analysis, talent training, scenario innovation and other aspects.
While listening to the report, President Dai Bin communicated with representatives of each member unit of the data cooperation network in real time, and fully affirmed the achievements of the sub-center in building offline samples and serving government decision-making, the joint laboratory in data application-driven product development, and the construction of offline sample libraries of statistical cooperation units. President Dai Bin put forward three requirements for the next step of the construction of the data cooperation network. First, high-quality tourism data is the basic driving force for the high-quality development of the tourism industry, and we must have a sense of pride in our work. This is an era where tourists define the tourism industry. The connotation and extension of tourism have undergone new changes, the market space has expanded, and the consumption structure has changed and stratified. We need to do a good job in academic interpretation and theoretical construction based on observation, thinking and data production. There have also been some new changes in tourism supply. The three districts and one circle, four museums and one station have slowly entered the tourism supply system. The intensification of innovation and entrepreneurship in the tourism industry requires that new ways must be found to increase high-density, high-frequency, and multi-type supply-side statistical data. With the changes in supply and demand brought about by fragmented demand and decentralized supply, especially the changes in the entry and exit and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan markets, our statistical work and data construction have brought huge challenges. We must have a sense of responsibility and enhance our sense of pride in our work. Second, objectively evaluate the development achievements and work experience of the data line, and have confidence in work. A thousand words are not as good as a group of data. The key breakthrough in the integration of culture and tourism lies in the construction of the data system. The data line has effectively supported holiday data monitoring, quarterly situation analysis, medium- and long-term planning, as well as special data needs such as rural, red, research, food, and night; formed a number of theoretical achievements such as monographs, textbooks, papers, reports, and patents; constructed a series of institutional documents including work guidelines, data systems, and work manuals; built a series of platforms such as China's cultural tourism big data, APP platform, and cooperation network; built a series of databases and sample libraries, laying the foundation for the sustainable development of tourism statistics and data work; trained the team, cultivated talents, and initially formed a tourism data community. The team of the tourism data cooperation network is growing and its professionalism is also increasing. Third, we must take the initiative to take on and take the initiative to do a good job in the key tasks of tourism data work in the current and future period. General Secretary Xi Jinping made an important instruction at the National Tourism Development Conference to "focus on improving the modern tourism system, accelerate the construction of a tourism power, and promote the steady and long-term development of the tourism industry." We must have the courage to undertake the strategic mission of the new era and improve our political position. We must strengthen theoretical construction around tourism development theory, tourism statistics theory, what big data and artificial intelligence are, what to do, and how to do it. We must clarify the working methods, tools, models, and data sources of tourism data in the new era, and strengthen data application. We must continue to strengthen the direct collection and multi-heterogeneous data driven by big data surveys and sampling surveys, and do a good job in data reserves. We must do a good job in data analysis and application of results by level, type, and frequency. We must strengthen public opinion guidance and fighting spirit, and sing the bright future of China's economy. We must communicate vertically and interact horizontally to further strengthen the construction of the data community.
