The "Three Determinations" of our hospital (data center) were officially approved, adding two new responsibilities

Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism officially approved the responsibilities, internal institutions and staffing of the China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) (hereinafter referred to as the "Three-Determination" regulations).

Relevant responsible persons of our institute said in an interview with the media that China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) is the only tourism professional research institution and data center in China with the prefix "China" approved by the Central Organization Department. China Tourism Academy was established in Beijing on June 6, 2008 (Reply of the Central Organization Department [2007] No. 98). In December 2015, with the approval of the Central Organization Department, it was added with the title of "National Tourism Administration Data Center". In January 2017, it was listed as a central-level scientific research institution by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In September 2018, according to the document of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the former National Tourism Administration Data Center was renamed the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Data Center.

China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) is a public welfare type II institution directly under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is mainly responsible for the policy and theoretical research of tourism industry, the research on the integrated development of culture and tourism, and the statistical and data analysis of culture and tourism. It has the legal person status of an independent institution, and the president is the legal representative. Specific responsibilities include: (a) organizing and carrying out research on policy theories, key and difficult issues such as tourism development, resource development, and industrial promotion; (b) participating in the research, preparation and demonstration of tourism development plans; (c) organizing and carrying out research on the integrated development of culture and tourism and the integrated development with related industries; (d) organizing and carrying out scientific research on cultural and tourism statistics, and undertaking the production, analysis and forecasting of cultural and tourism statistics, data; (e) organizing and carrying out academic exchanges in the field of tourism research with foreign countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; (f) undertaking the training of high-level professional talents in tourism; and (g) completing other tasks assigned by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The responsible person stated that compared with the previous responsibilities of the research institute (data center), the new "three-determination" regulations added two new responsibilities: research on the integrated development of culture and tourism, and cultural statistics and data analysis.

After the new "Three Determinations" regulations, the Institute (Data Center) will set up three administrative departments and seven research institutes, namely, the Administration and Personnel Department, the International Exchange and Finance Department (Publicity and Promotion Department), the Scientific Research Management Department, the Strategic Research Institute, the Policy and Science and Education Research Institute, the Industrial Research Institute, the Planning and Leisure Research Institute, the International Research Institute (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Research Institute), the Statistical Survey Institute, and the Data Analysis Institute.

The leadership of the institute shall consist of a dean (director), two vice deans, and may also have a chief planner and a chief statistician.

The responsible person stated that our institute will earnestly study and implement the new "three-fixed" regulations of the institute (data center), continue to uphold the construction purpose of "a government think tank, industry think tank, and academic highland to promote the integrated development of Chinese culture and tourism and international exchanges", carry out theoretical research and data analysis, and help the development of cultural undertakings, cultural industries, and tourism.
