Xia Shaoyan, director of the Research Department, Yang Jinsong, head of the International Institute (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Institute), and He Qiongfeng, head of the Data Analysis Institute, combined with the actual work of the departments, introduced the work experience of their departments on how to do a good job in party building and their own work and promote the comprehensive development of the institute. He asked all cadres and staff of the institute to adhere to the problem-oriented, unswervingly combine theory and practice under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and accelerate the construction of a contemporary tourism development theory centered on the people. It is necessary to unite and lead the national tourism academic community and data center cooperation network with the strength of the whole institute to systematically answer major topics and practical issues related to the construction of the contemporary tourism development theory system, such as "Why is tourism developing? What does tourism development rely on? What are the sustainable development goals and phased work priorities of tourism work?" He emphasized that it is necessary to resolutely implement the requirements of the Party Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, strengthen the research on the integration of culture and tourism, and have both design drafts and construction drawings.
