Approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the "2019 China Night Economy Forum" co-organized by the China Tourism Academy, Wuhu Municipal People's Government and Mingjiahui Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Wuhu City, Anhui Province from November 15 to 17. The theme of this forum is "Night Economy - A Better New Life, New Driving Force for Development". More than 400 representatives from more than 40 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, business circles, domestic and foreign experts and scholars, and major media organizations attended the forum. The forum was hosted by Li Zhongguang, Vice President of the China Tourism Academy.

At the opening ceremony in the morning, Cheng Zongyu, Chairman of Mingjiahui, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizer, and Yuan Hua, Director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Pan Zhaohui, Secretary of the Wuhu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, delivered speeches respectively.
Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, delivered a keynote speech titled "Promoting the High-quality Development of the Night Economy with Cultural Rights and Tourism Rights as the Center". President Dai pointed out that the development of the night economy is a realistic requirement to expand consumption and force the supply-side structural reform of culture and tourism; the development of the night economy is a strategic requirement to cultivate new momentum for urban development and enhance new elements of social vitality; the development of the night economy is a political requirement to develop and improve the governance system in the field of culture and tourism, enhance governance capabilities, and safeguard the people's cultural rights and tourism rights. It is hoped that governments at all levels will attach importance to the night economy from a higher political standpoint and incorporate the night economy into the "14th Five-Year Plan" culture and tourism plan; it is hoped that the majority of science and technology, art and education institutions will invest more resources to study major theoretical issues in the development of the night economy, and provide intellectual support for the development of the night economy from the two aspects of top-level design and bottom-level devices. At the same time, President Dai Bin pointed out that the development of the night economy must first clarify the basic strategic issues such as what to adhere to and consolidate, what to develop and improve, and what to rely on and lead; it is hoped that all levels and types of capital markets and market entities will increase investment, develop new products, and cultivate new formats, so that urban and rural residents and foreign tourists at different consumption levels can travel, afford to travel, and have fun at night.

Zheng Ganghuan, dean of the School of Festivals and Tourism at Paechai University in South Korea and president of the Asian branch of the World Festivals and Events Association (IFEA), gave a speech titled "Korean Night Sightseeing Model - Night Walk" and introduced the Korean nighttime tourism model he founded to the guests in detail. The sightseeing mode "Night Walk" explains the reason why "Night Walk" has been successfully promoted to 30 major cities in South Korea.
Liao Chengzhen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, delivered a speech entitled "Vigorously Develop New Nighttime Economic Business Forms and Shape the City's Nighttime Economic Characteristic Brand", proposing to create multi-level carriers and shape the city's business card; aggregate multi-style business forms to highlight the charm of Chengdu; develop multi-themed activities to stimulate consumer vitality; and improve multi-channel services to lay a solid foundation for development.
Lai Youwei, Vice President of Meituan and Director of Meituan Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Analyzing China's Night Economy from Big Data". Based on Meituan data, he expressed his thoughts and suggestions on the development of the night economy.
In the academic achievement release session, Dr. Zhao Yijing, the project leader of the night tourism research group of our institute, published the "2019 China Night Economy Development Report". The report sorted out the past and present of the night economy, focused on analyzing the supply and demand status of the night economy, and analyzed the strategies and paths for high-quality development of the night economy. It is hoped that through research on industrial supply, market demand, policy support and other aspects, support will be provided for the current development of the urban night economy. The report also pointed out that we should grasp the "golden four hours and silver six kilometers" of night tours and adapt to the "old three", "new three" and "three again" of the night economy.
The "Wuhu Night Tourism Development Report" was released by Dr. Zhang Yang from the Institute of Industry of our institute. The report analyzed the characteristics of Wuhu's nighttime consumption and nighttime tourism, and pointed out that Wuhu is a young city with strong consumption power, and the supply of nighttime tourism products is also accelerating. Finally, Dr. Zhang Yang put forward practical suggestions on the development of Wuhu's nighttime tourism from the strategic level, demand level, supervision and public service level.
In the benchmark series release session, President Li announced the top ten cities in nighttime economy, the top ten cities in nighttime economy, tourists' favorite nighttime consumption projects ("Top ten night markets loved by tourists", "Top ten nighttime performances loved by tourists", "Top ten historical and cultural, commercial blocks and internet-famous pedestrian streets loved by tourists at night", "Top ten cultural venues loved by tourists at night", "Top ten brand bookstores loved by tourists at night"), cities with nighttime economy potential and a list of innovative enterprises in nighttime economy.
The last session of the forum in the morning released the "Wuhu Consensus on the High-Quality Development of the Night Economy".
On the afternoon of the 16th, Dean Dai Bin, Director Yang Honghao of the Institute of Industry of our institute, and Dr. Zhao Yijing of the Institute of Industry hosted three roundtable discussions on "High-end Dialogue on Night Economy", "Night Economy Projects & Investment", and "Night Economy Technology & Art". Dean Dai Bin, Wang Yue, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Xiao Lingzhi, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhou Anwei, member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Planner of Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Television and Sports, Wang Yawen, Deputy Secretary-General of Kaifeng Municipal People's Government, and Professor Lu Lin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Anhui Normal University, discussed three topics: "Now that night tourism has become a social hotspot, what are the difficulties in developing it?" "What good development experiences do various places have?" "What opinions and suggestions can we put forward to all sectors of society to promote the development of the night economy?"
Director Yang Honghao, Chang Sheng, deputy general manager of Happy Valley Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., Shi Weian, head of the digital culture and performing arts department of Poly Performance Co., Ltd., Zhang Weiqing, general manager of Zhouzhuang Tourism Group, Zhang Taibao, deputy general manager of Beijing Dianfeng Guanghua Technology Development Co., Ltd., Shi Pengcheng, vice president of operations of Weiguang Huitong Operation Management Co., Ltd., and Hu Bo, chairman of Foshan Galaxy Lanjing Lighting Appliance Co., Ltd., discussed the topic of "Investment status and future development direction of domestic and foreign night economy".
Dr. Zhao Yijing discussed the technological innovation and artistic design of night economy projects with Yin Hongbin, Vice President of Beijing Liangye Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Chen Zuyao, Assistant President of Huaqiang Fantawild, Zhou Hongxing, Director of Strategic Consulting Department of Wuhan Chaozong Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. (Zhiyinhao), Ye Jun, member of the International Media Architecture Association and researcher of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Rao Weidong, General Manager of Guangzhou Pearl River Lighting Technology Landscape and Cultural Tourism Division, and Wang Lili, General Manager of Site Century (Beijing) Technology and Cultural Tourism Division.
During the roundtable discussion, Zhang Jinyu, Chief Cultural Officer of Mingjiahui Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Dahua Shenyou Lighting and Shadow Technology Development Co., Ltd., and Feng Renrong, Executive Vice General Manager of Shenzhen Acletech Technology, delivered keynote speeches on the discussion topics based on their own practices.
