Dai Bin led a team to investigate the construction of Ningxia international tourism destination

At the invitation of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Government and with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, led a team to Ningxia from August 14 to 16 to investigate and study the innovative theories, data systems and practical cases of international tourist destinations.

During their stay in Ningxia, Zhang Yupu, Chairman of the People's Government of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Wang Li, Vice Chairman, met with the research team and exchanged views on implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on tourism during his inspection of Ningxia, the spirit of the National Tourism Development Conference, and the direction and path for Ningxia to build an international tourism destination.

The research team focused on the development of wine tourism in the eastern foot of Helan Mountain and the new tourism and holiday industry in Zhongwei. In Yinchuan, they visited Yuanshi Winery, Manpu Town, Turandot Wine Town, etc., and had in-depth exchanges with Cai Ju, Party Secretary and Director of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Culture and Tourism Department, Wu Yuguo, Deputy Director, and heads of relevant departments and companies.

In Zhongwei, he visited Shapotou Tourist Area, Desert Galaxy Resort, Desert Star Hotel, Diamond Hotel, Tent Hotel, Desert Lodge, Yellow River Lodge, etc., and held discussions with Zhongwei Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Ma Honghai, Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee Member and Propaganda Minister Gao Peng, Municipal CPPCC Vice Chairman and Government Secretary General Sun Shangjin and relevant business leaders.

During the investigation, President Dai Bin pointed out that the era of Ningxia tourism selling desolation to the outside world has passed, and the era of high-quality life shared by hosts and guests is coming. The Yuanshi Winery, Turandot Wine Town on the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains, and the Desert Series Hotel and Yellow River Suji in Shapotou, Zhongwei, not only represent the new direction of the development of Ningxia's cultural tourism industry, but also reflect the people's yearning for quality life. To build an international tourist destination, we must first innovate the concept of tourism development. The quality life of the destination is the most important tourist attraction; secondly, we must improve the destination reception system and allow tourists to have free choice of transportation, catering, accommodation, entertainment, shopping and other facilities; thirdly, we must focus on cultivating a group of world-class market entities, including world-class tourist attractions and resorts, world-class enterprises, etc.; then we must improve the tourism statistics and data system, strengthen support in scientific research and talents, etc.; finally, we must strengthen the external publicity and promotion system, accelerate the formulation of internationally leading wine tourism standards, desert tourism standards, etc., and tell the Ningxia story to the world.
