2020 China Tourism Group Development Forum held in Beijing

On December 13, the 2020 China Tourism Group Development Forum officially opened. The theme of this forum was "Culture Leading Technological Innovation". It was hosted by the China Tourism Academy and the China Tourism Association and organized by Caesars Group. More than 800 leaders from central and local tourism groups, tourism enterprises, research and development institutions, and representatives from the cultural and tourism systems attended the forum. The morning agenda was chaired by Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy.

At the opening ceremony, Duan Qiang, President of the China Tourism Association, and Liu Jiangtao, CEO of Caesars Group, delivered speeches on behalf of the organizer and the organizer respectively.

Beijing Vice Mayor Wang Hong delivered a speech. On behalf of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, Vice Mayor Wang Hong expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for its strong support for Beijing's various work, and discussed the paths and means of the integrated development of culture, tourism and technology in my country during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period from three aspects.

Hu Heping, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Minister Hu Heping pointed out that we are currently standing at the historical intersection of the "two centenary goals" and are about to embark on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way. The international and domestic environment facing my country's development is more complex and changeable, and the development of the tourism industry has both new opportunities and new challenges. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the development of the tourism industry must thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, be based on the new development stage, adhere to the new development concept, take high-quality development as the theme, and take reform and innovation as the driving force to accelerate the construction of a modern tourism system.

During the keynote speech session, Wan Min, Chairman of China Tourism Group Co., Ltd., Fang Jinghua, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Zhejiang Tourism Group, Jane Sun, CEO of Ctrip Group, Jing Xiaoyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Oriental Performing Arts Group, and Liu Jungang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hubei Cultural Tourism Investment Group, delivered keynote speeches based on the theme of the conference, entitled "Deeply promote the integrated development of culture and tourism, and help build a modern cultural industry system", "Zhejiang practice of provincial tourism asset integration", "Integrate into the new pattern of "dual circulation", deeply cultivate domestic enterprises with a global vision", "Cultural leadership, integrated development, and create a new pattern of state-owned theaters", and "Build a new tourism group to help Hubei 'build a fulcrum, take the lead, and write a new chapter'".

During the report release session, Song Ziqian, director of the Institute of Policy and Science and Education of the China Tourism Academy, released the "China Tourism Group Development Report 2020". The report pointed out that for tourism enterprises, 2020 was both a year of turbulent times and a year of heroism. Faced with the heavy blow of the epidemic, tourism group enterprises actively responded to the call of the central government, took the initiative to bear the pressure, carried out self-rescue, led service innovation with culture, supported enterprise transformation and development with science and technology, and fully demonstrated the industry responsibility of group enterprises. Looking forward to 2021, it will be a new era of mass tourism, a new stage of well-off tourism, a new concept led by culture, and a new pattern of scientific and technological innovation.

The Entrepreneur Strategic Dialogue was the last agenda item of the morning. The host, Dean Dai Bin, and Song Yu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Capital Tourism Group, Yao Jun, General Manager of OCT Group, Sheng Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jiangsu Cultural Investment Management Group, Huang Xihua, General Manager of Guangdong Tourism Holdings Group, Zeng Shaoxiong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jiangxi Tourism Group, Hu Baosen, Founder and Chairman of Central China Real Estate Group, Chen Miaolin, Founder of New Century Tourism Group, Lu Peng, Executive President of Sunac China and President of Sunac Culture and Tourism Group, Yu Faxiang, Founder and Chairman of Xiangyuan Holdings Group, Guo Qing, Senior Vice President of Meituan, and Wu Guoping, Chairman of Wuxi Lingshan Cultural Tourism Group, had a lively discussion on the theme of "The 14th Five-Year Plan and the Development of Tourism Groups".

Roundtable Forum 1 “Culture Leading the Growth of Tourism Groups” was hosted by Li Zhongguang, Vice President of China Tourism Research Institute.

First, Kang Guoming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Youth Travel Service, Wang Wenbao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Group, and Liang Lingfeng, General Manager of Lingnan Group, respectively gave keynote speeches entitled "The Great Cycle and New Opportunities of China's Tourism", "Visiting Shanxi is Like Reading History", and "Lingnan Group Promotes the Exploration and Practice of Cultural and Tourism Integration with Innovative Cultural and Tourism Products".

Afterwards, Li Zhongguang, deputy director of the China Tourism Research Institute, had a lively discussion with Lu Xiaoliang, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Hangzhou Canal Group, Huang Shiwen, president of Huangshan Tourism Group, Ding Yi, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Shandong Guoxin Cultural Tourism Group, Wang Xuguang, president of Haichang Ocean Park, Su Zhong, founder and chairman of Daye Media Group, and Xu Zhihui, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Ganzhou Tourism Investment Group.

Zhou Bing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shaanxi Tourism Group, Xie Guoqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Nanjing Tourism Group, Liang Yi, Chairman of Liangye Technology Group, and Xia Jun, Vice President of the Digital Government Business Department of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., respectively delivered keynote speeches entitled "Follow the Shaanxi Travel with Your Heart, Miracles Along the Way", "Empowered by Technology, Worry-free Travel", "The Light of Technology Illuminates Your Life", and "Technology Promotes High-quality Development of Cultural Tourism and Creates New Value for the Industry".

Tang Xiaoyun, deputy director of the China Tourism Research Institute, had a lively discussion with Chen Yangbiao, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the Fujian Tourism Development Group, Pan Ming, general manager and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Tourism Development Group, Wang Zaorong, chairman and founder of Shenzhen University Intelligent Group, Dou Feipeng, vice president and chief technology officer of Fosun Tourism Group, and Xu Ting, senior vice president of People's Daily People's Culture and Tourism and founder of Snail Scenic Area Management Group.

Finally, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, made a summary speech and closing speech on the topic of "Cultural leadership, technological innovation, and striving to create a new development pattern for tourism groups", and released the list of "Top 20 Chinese Tourism Groups in 2020".
