2025 China Tourism Science Annual Conference opens in Beijing

On April 20, 2025, the 2025 China Tourism Science Annual Conference opened in Beijing. The conference was hosted by the China Tourism Academy and the theme was "Tourism Development Strategy during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period". Experts and scholars from colleges and universities and scientific research institutions across the country, responsible persons from local tourism authorities and managers of typical tourism enterprises attended this annual conference.

The meeting was chaired by Vice President Tang Xiaoyun of our institute. President Dai Bin delivered an opening speech. He emphasized that the purpose of holding the annual meeting is to hope that the academic community can write papers on the land of the motherland, in the process of striving for the people's tourism rights and striving for the high-quality and sustainable development of the tourism industry. He pointed out that this year is the final year of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the year of planning the "15th Five-Year Plan". How to strengthen tourism scientific research, strengthen the construction of contemporary tourism theory, and build a national tourism development theory system, so as to improve the modern tourism system and promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry, is an important goal of our tourism development and an important reason for holding this meeting.

On the afternoon of the 20th, the meeting was divided into keynote speeches, project establishment and outstanding results release, special dialogues and other sessions. In the keynote speech session, Zhang Guangrui, Honorary Director of the Tourism Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Deng Yusong, Director of the Institute of Market Economy of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Wang Chuan, President of Sichuan Tourism College, Hu Qinghua, Chair Professor of Tianjin University and Fellow of the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society, Bai Fan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Tourism Group, and Yao Jun, President of the China Amusement Park Association, respectively spoke on themes such as "From "Hospitality" to "Feeling at Home" - Reflections on the Cultural Foundation of the Tourism Service Industry", "Directions, Key Points and Policy Orientations for Vigorously Boosting Consumption", "Strategic Thinking on the Development of National Tourism during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period", "Artificial Intelligence Big Model and Enterprise Innovation", "Anchoring the Goal of Building a Strong Cultural Tourism Country and Creating a World-Class Enterprise Beijing Tourism Group Strengthens "Five Advantages" to Layout High-Quality Development", and "Integrity and Innovation of the Tourism Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period".

Dean Dai Bin of our college presided over the special dialogue session. Kang Nian, Vice President of Shanghai Normal University and President of Shanghai Tourism College, Lu Lin, former Vice President of Anhui Normal University, Li Yongqiang, Vice President of Guilin Tourism College, Ma Baolie, Party Committee Member and Vice President of Shandong Tourism Vocational College, Song Rui, Director of Tourism Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Sun Jiuxia, Vice President of School of Tourism of Sun Yat-sen University, Zhang Chaozhi, Distinguished Professor of Department of Tourism of Fudan University, Professor Zhao Shuhong, Dean of School of Business Administration and Tourism Management of Yunnan University, and other experts and scholars discussed the theme of "Tourism Development Strategy during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period".

Tang Xiaoyun, deputy director of the China Tourism Academy, released the "List of Outstanding Research Results in Culture and Tourism in 2024" and the "List of Macro-decision-making Projects in Culture and Tourism in 2025".
